About the Role

The Technical Project Leader will work with all departments involved in Conduent New Jersey Transit projects. The scope for this position will cover a wide range of domains to propose technical solutions that meet our customer's requirements, schedule and cost. This position will synchronize consistency between development, operations and maintenance teams. This position will report directly to the Program Manager to align the business communications strategy with our client.

Responsibilities

• Work with the internal development team in France and in the US to define and finalize new requests from our customers. A good technical background in software and/or electronics will help him to understand the implementation constraints.
• Lead internal and customer workshops to explain technical options. Build the meeting PowerPoint presentation to explain, convince, and close a solution description.
• Write the technical description of new change orders and be able to argue the solution decisions.
• Act as liaison to ensure internal teams understand client issues and requests.
• Write new procedures and technical experience to solve problems.
• Analyze field problems and propose a resolution scenario.
• Build a software deployment plan with the currents team (Schedule, Technical alternatives, risk management and back-up plan).
• Share logical reasoning with the business and customers to solve problems and make recommendations.
• Propose improvement in the currents project processes to optimize teamwork.
• Analyze the data from the system, work with the maintenance manager and build reporting with tools like Excel or Power Bi to detect and fix field issues.
• Interacts with internal team and client contacts to resolve day-to-day benefit questions.

Requirements

• College degree or 5 years relevant work experience (software or technical) required.
• Software and/or electronics development experience. The candidate must be able to understand the technical aspects of a discussion with the expertise team. Example of primary domains cover by a transit project: cloud hosting, database management, application server development, embedded software development, contactless smartcard management, EMV card management, data analytics, Maintenance procedure and installation and deployment processes.
• Project management knowledge. The candidate knows the basics of project management.
• The position requires full-time presence on-site (Somerset, New Jersey)
• The position will require interaction with field devices to analyze and troubleshoot issues. In coordination with the maintenance manager, the candidate will go to buses garages or light rail stations to visit and test devices.
• The candidate will work with Conduent French team, knowledge in French would be preferred.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Requires knowledge and experience in own field.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $85,894 - $115,000.
