Under the general direction of the Director, Technology Services, provide technical support services to ensure the integrity and reliability of assigned servers, operating systems, network systems, and related network applications and services; install, test, manage, and resolve problems with computer hardware and software; manages completion of projects to meet departments' time, budget, and quality requirements.
EXAMINATION PROCESS

2. General Fitness Exam – Date: In person on February 13
The General Fitness Exam will consist of an on-line multiple choice examination assessing fundamental knowledge for the position. For those passing the General Fitness / Performance Examination:
3. Structured Oral Interview – Date In person on February 20
The Structured Oral Interview will be before a panel and contain questions that assess technical knowledge, experience, and one's general fitness for successful performance in the position. A total score will be computed using weighted scores on all testing components. Applicants must receive a passing score on the oral examination to be placed on the 6 month-long eligibility list.
The top 3 ranks (scores) on the eligibility list are eligible for the hiring interview for each vacancy in this classification within the life of the list.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Positions in this class support large groups of users and many different applications, and systems. Incumbents evaluate and recommend changes or additions to District’s computer systems, using a substantial knowledge of information technology systems and methods, as well as knowledge of departmental operations. Incumbents also perform specialized duties as required, such as administering networks, managing servers and applications, managing accounts, managing MDM solutions, and designing and producing reports. Incumbents work with minimal technical support from other positions within the assigned department, and refer the more complex issues to higher level technical staff. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Education/Experience:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field, and three (3) years of experience working with computer hardware/software, network servers and computer operational systems; managing servers and applications, managing accounts, managing MDM solutions, and designing and producing reports. A Bachelors degree is highly desirable.

- Install, upgrade and configure desktop computers and related hardware, software and operating systems, necessary drivers, and computer peripheral equipment.Install, upgrade, and manage servers, software, and related equipment.
- Manage user accounts in multiple different platforms, like but not limited to Office 365, Active Directory, GSuite, Apple, and other applications.
- Manage different hardware management platforms, like but not limited to SCCM, AirWatch, and Google Management.
- Monitor and administer systems and networks.Maintain efficient operation of systems and networks.
- Provide server support and maintenance.Use various utilities to trouble-shoot, repair, and check configuration of servers and network equipment.
- Monitor and make recommendations for various software applications.Verify appropriate licenses for software applications installed on district computers.
- Evaluates and resolves user problems.Identify and obtains appropriate resources for the resolution of complex problems.
- Correct routine problems by making repairs to computer equipment.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and user manuals;
- May serve as lead worker or provide direct or functional supervision over clerical and/or technical staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary : $85,288 - $103,334
