Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Fabric to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize data-driven solutions that support critical decision-making processes across the organization. Your expertise will drive the development of intuitive, scalable, and robust analytics platforms, empowering healthcare professionals to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives, ensuring the seamless integration of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric within our healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Development & Management: Design, build, and maintain visually compelling and interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models tailored to healthcare data and metrics.
  • Data Modeling & Integration: Develop complex data models using Microsoft Fabric and integrate data from various healthcare systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Clinical Data Repositories, and Patient Management Systems.
  • Data Transformation: Utilize Microsoft Fabric’s data engineering capabilities to clean, process, and transform raw data into structured formats suitable for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with healthcare professionals, data scientists, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement best practices to optimize the performance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets, ensuring scalability for large volumes of healthcare data.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure data governance policies are adhered to, maintaining HIPAA and other healthcare industry compliance standards while working with sensitive patient information.
  • Automation & Innovation: Develop and automate data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric, streamlining data integration processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to healthcare teams on Power BI tools and best practices to enhance data literacy within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Power BI development, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including experience with data integration, data transformation, and fabric pipelines.
  • Experience working with healthcare data and an understanding of healthcare-specific metrics, standards, and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and M languages for querying and modeling data in Power BI.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with healthcare-specific tools such as EPIC, Cerner, or other healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, AI models, or predictive analytics applied in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies.
