Conexon’s mission is to provide high speed internet and phone service to Rural America through its work with rural cooperatives as well as through its own internet service provider subsidiary, Conexon Connect. The Controller position would report to the CFO and have primary responsibility of managing processes around period closings and consolidations. This position will be based in the downtown Kansas City headquarters.
Requirements : Essential Functions
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing processes
- Issue timely and accurate financial reporting
- Provide insights on key metrics, variances, and trends to support operational decisions
- Perform intercompany allocations and consolidations
- Oversee WIP and construction progress costs
- Implement financial and accounting best practices and oversee critical accounting procedures to ensure compliance with financial reporting
- Assist in annual audit process
- Cross departmental collaboration with various internal teams to ensure accuracy on invoicing for projects and capitalization of internal labor costs
- Oversee AP processes and review payments to vendors and other business partners
- Assist in grant applications and funding compliance
- Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team
- Perform other duties as assigned
