What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Coneybeare LLC?
We are looking for a day shift Quality Control Inspector at a manufacturing company in Irwindale that produces metal components for aerospace and commercial applications. As a Quality Control Inspector, your primary responsibilities will include inspecting, measuring, and evaluating metal components and assemblies using various inspection tools and equipment.
1st Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Perform First Piece/In-Process Inspections and audits as required.
- Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor and engineering personnel.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Accomplish quality and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
- Assist in root cause and corrective action findings and implementation.
- Interact with machine operators to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Follow and verify routings sequential operations for part processing procedures and update in ERP application software.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T symbols.
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Inspector experience.
- AS9100 experience is preferred.
- Experience inspecting metal materials and metal parts.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience using quality inspection tools (e.g., Mic, Calipers, Optical Comparator, Height Gage).
- Technical writing skills and computer proficiency.
- Root cause analysis experience.
