The Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers has an opening in their Inchelium Clinic office for a Dental Assistant, either certified or willing to take become certified. We offer competitive rates with the best benefits (see below). We are looking for a team player that is personable and dependable. This is a full-time positions (40 hours per week). You would be working with some of the best dentists, hygienist and dental health aide therapist (DHAT) in the region as they provide quality service to members of the Colville Confederated Tribe along with all residents throughout Northeastern Washington. The experienced Dental Assistant would also have the following knowledge and skills:
- Ability to meet and greet patients in a friendly, professional demeanor
- Responsible for preparing treatment rooms/space/equipment for patients and dental professionals
- Ensures accurate patient chart/dental/medical histories are provided for each patient visit
- Ensures that dental tools and all other equipment are available for the dental professionals at the time of patient visit
- Responsible for documentation or the checkup and the treatment plan(s)
- Follows sanitation guidelines and sterilizes dental instruments, equipment and facilities
- Take dental x-rays
- Performs all duties using universal precautions and appropriate protective equipment as required to reduce exposure to infection, bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials
- Knowledge of dental terminology is preferred
Qualifications
Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience
The Certified Dental Assistant candidates would be required to provide a copy of their current certification.
A valid Washington State driver's license is required along with insurance and reliable vehicle.
Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions
LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time along with stooping, bending and sitting. May require lifting of 15 – 50 lbs.
