Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers has an opening in the Physical Therapy Department for an Office Assistant.  This position requires someone that is able to multitask in a very busy environment.  The Physical Therapy Department works a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday.    The perfect candidate will be friendly, yet professional and willing to provide assistance where needed in the five-person office.  If you are interested, please complete an application and include your resume for consideration.   This job will be fun and rewarding for the right person and will be filled quickly!  

Basic Functions / Tasks

  • Works directly with the Office Manager to ensure that the front office is managed professionally and efficiently.     
  • Meets, greets and welcomes all patients cordially and efficiently. 
  • Answer the phone as soon as possible to provide assistance with scheduling and questions regarding physical therapy department and the health clinics, at large. 
  • Verify patient information including insurance coverage, referral information, and address any patient concerns. 
  • Make appointments using appropriate methods including the phone, computer program(s) and/or appointment logs.
  • Utilize EHR system to enter billing information and update patient information. 
  • Collect required co-pays, document receipt of payment. 
  • Responsible for appointment reminders and/or rescheduling. 
  • Keep the front office neat, clean and organized. 
  • Participate with other coworkers in work meetings and events.
  • Must be outgoing and friendly.  
  • Requires excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Assist the Office Manager with tasks, as needed. 


Knowledge and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Proper English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence, compose and edit report text.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent (proven) customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize.  

Physical Ability

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift 25 – 50 pounds
  • Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers.
  • Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone, in person and when needed electronically.
