What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuels Monitor position at Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Oregon?
Primary responsibilities of the position are to engage in the preparation and implementation of the fuels treatment, prescribed fire and wildland fire monitoring process. Work involves activities related to fuels data management and analysis, fuels inventory and monitoring, layout of treatment units and fire suppression, and working as part of a seasonal crew performing fieldwork.
Requirements
Must have a maintain a valid Oregons drivers license and be insurable under CTWS. Must be able to pass a medical exam and arduous pack test. Qualifies as fire effects monitor or qualify w/in2 years of hire date. Qualify as FFT2 or w/in 18 months of hire date and taking the S-290. Must submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement. Must also pass a pre employment alcohol and drug screening.
