What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs?
Perform moderately complex accounts payable work. Review and verify calculations of incoming billings; match invoices with purchase orders and statements; check authorization and signature. Post entries to accounting system prepare and process checks for release to the vendors. Maintain a daily monthly and annual report for the Accounts Payable transactions. Perform audits on the monthly statements received from the vendors to assure that they are paid and research any amount that is unpaid. Work with departments on procurement documents submitted to ensure the departmental policies and procedures are followed. Maintain the vendor files for The Accounts Payable transactions. Complete the processing of disbursements for the tribal organization with no risk to the Tribe for error. Maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
Applicant will be required to submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal Tribal and State Law Enforcement. Will also be required to submit to a preemployment drug / alcohol screening.
