What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Machine Operator position at Confidencial?
SUMMARY:
Sets up and operates numerical control equipment to machine components to specifications by performing the following duties. Satisfy SA’s Quality goals and objectives in completion of activities or duties (reference Somic America Quality Manual and Quality Policy).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
- Maintain and provide a safe work area and work in a safe manner. Report any unsafe conditions to Team Leader immediately.
Quality
- Complete Hourly checks using In Process Check Sheets and Gaging to ensure parts meet Quality Specifications Notifies Team Leader of any suspect material and helps to contain material line side.
- Complete Changeovers using the Changeover Procedure.
- Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions and secures work piece in fixture according to changeover instructions. Fill in Change over checklist to ensure all changeover steps are complete.
Operation
- Utilize AIM to transact material at final step of process.
- Completes Standardized work in accordance to Work Instructions.
