Job Summary:
Our location is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scheduler/Central Supply Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by managing staff schedules and maintaining an efficient supply chain for medical and office supplies. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling Duties:
- Develop and maintain staff schedules for nursing and support departments.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate staff requests, absences, and emergencies.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to all relevant personnel.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
- Monitor and manage overtime and shift differentials to control labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and union agreements (if applicable).
Central Supply Duties:
- Oversee the ordering, receiving, and distribution of medical and office supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory checks.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies and negotiate pricing as needed.
- Track and manage supply usage to prevent shortages and reduce waste.
- Ensure all supplies are stored appropriately and in compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Work with the nursing and medical staff to anticipate and meet supply needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in scheduling and/or supply management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
