Job Summary
The Hotel Manager / General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for both guests and staff. The Hotel Manager will work closely with front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations on a daily basis.

Duties
- Supervise daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping/laundry, and maintenance departments.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Manage budgets and financial reports to optimize profitability while maintaining quality service.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote hotel services and attract new guests.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with inventory duties such as tracking toiletry and supply counts, organizing new deliveries from vendors, and preparing orders for new supplies.
- Coordinate night audits to ensure accurate financial reporting at the end of each day.
- Respond to day-to-day guest requests, resolve guest issues, and handle other special items as they arise.
- Maintain effective communication with ownership, local town stakeholders, and other partners to facilitate smooth operations.
- Be available to provide direction to front desk / guest services staff when not working.
- On-call for response to handle and resolve guest emergencies.
Skills / Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including proper phone etiquette for professional communication with guests and vendors.
- Previous experience in hotel management or guest services is preferred.
- Able to use a variety of softwares and computer programs (property management systems, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience managing a team, managing staff work responsibilities, and scheduling is highly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills to create memorable experiences for guests.
- Spanish language skills are a plus for engaging with non-English speaking staff and guests.
- Experience managing a budget is a plus.

Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
