We are seeking a senior finance and accounting professional to own and support many of the finance and accounting oriented functions of our investment and client services firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Support
- Support the professional financial services we provide to our high-net-worth clients, including personal financial plans, expense management, and annual personal financial statements.
- Partner with our internal team and external advisors to oversee our clients’ general estate planning, other accounting and banking needs, credit card management, other business activities.
- Analyze financial data by assessing financial health and creating financial plans.
- Provide support for our advisory of investments, insurance, taxes, and wealth planning matters.
- Create liquidity planning and cash management strategies for investment decisions and spending.
- Develop annual and monthly budgets and meet with clients to provide analysis, oversight, and guidance on variations to budget and other cash forecasting.
Finance & Accounting
- Prepare entity level quarterly financial statements utilizing ERP system and other databases.
- Develop materials for internally quarterly stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare entity level annual budgets other asset based distribution calculations.
- Perform financial modeling using Excel for entities.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare book entries.
Tax & Compliance
- Assist with tax and compliance for individuals and entities.
- Coordinate with outside tax preparers and provide tax supporting documentation.
- Manage annual state, local, and federal compliance requirements.
Process & Technology
- Serve as back-up resource for ERP.
- Continually assess and reassess existing procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
- Design new financial reports as needed based on management needs.
Internal client management/trusted advisory services overall:
- Manage individual and fiduciary financial and reporting processes and systems.
- Cultivate transparent and robust working relationships across clients, colleagues, and advisors.
- Provide excellent service to management and clients.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Key Education and Experience
- Ability to work out of our office 3 or more days each week.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study required. CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning (individual or organizational) and analysis coupled with accounting experience dealing with cash flow, and budgeting across multiple entities. Investment accounting experience would be an asset.
- Client-facing experience is strongly preferred, experience working in financial services, wealth management and/or a family office environment is strongly preferred.
- Experienced with client services/financial services reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (Sage experience a plus) and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
