The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly hourly payroll and assist with payroll adjustments
- Manage attendance and timekeeping
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues
- Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed
- Monitor disciplinary action, promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Identifying and resolving HR issues
- Ensure legal compliance, fairness, and consistency
- Maintain employee benefits program, HRIS transactions, and employee file database
- Provide support for the leadership team which requires handling confidential data
- Answer questions on sick leaves, vacations, and other benefits for employees
- Maintain a good working relationship with the employees
Required Skills:
- Two years of HR experience
- Experience in processing payroll
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience dealing with confidential matters
Preferred skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
- Experience in a union environment
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
