What You’ll Be Doing
Own the Numbers
- Analyze financial data and transactions like a pro, delivering insights that drive real results.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements – balance sheets, income statements, cash flows – you know the drill.
- Post journal entries, manage accruals, and keep our books in tip-top shape.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and support accurate depreciation reporting.
- Build smart, reliable support schedules for all balance sheet accounts.
Be a Property Accounting Pro
- Collaborate closely with our Property Management, Leasing, and Construction teams to ensure the numbers align with operations.
- Decode tenant leases to properly recognize revenue, apply escalations, and execute flawless year-end true-ups.
- Assist in building annual budgets that are as sharp as your spreadsheet skills.
Master Tenant & Lease Accounting
- Keep tenant relationships positive and professional – send invoices, record payments, and follow up like a boss.
- Stay on top of collections and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Review lease structures and help us recover every dollar we're owed through CAM and operating expense reconciliations.
Drive Efficiency in AP & AR
- Review and approve invoices with laser precision, ensuring everything is coded and allocated correctly.
- Calculate leasing commissions and ensure they’re recorded accurately.
Support Audits & Special Projects
- Serve as the go-to for internal and external audit requests.
- Jump into special projects that help move the business forward — no two days are the same.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 4–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in commercial real estate or property management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is a plus, but not required.
- Tech Savvy: You’re a whiz with Microsoft Excel and have experience with accounting software like Yardi, MRI, Sage, or similar.
- Detail-Oriented & Driven: You have strong analytical chops and a laser focus on accuracy.
- Communicator & Collaborator: You’re a team player with excellent communication skills who can work independently and keep projects on track.
- Deadline Crusher: You thrive under pressure and never miss a deadline — even when things get hectic.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
