Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Chief Estimator - Alternative Pursuits Leader.
- Assist, compile, and review the authoring of technical, compliant, and competitive proposals, responses to requests for proposals, requests for information, and sources sought notices.
- Coordinate with staff members in assisting the pursuits process, receiving the request for proposal, request for bid, request for qualifications, or any other means of bid solicitation and downloading into estimating files.
- Oversee separation of bid documents, specifications and plans, request for bind bonds and insurance quotes.
- Oversee and review preparation of bid form submittals and submittal of bid, if required via client portal.
- Utilize and maintain proposal content library to include past performances, contract profiles, and other content to support future efforts.
- Maintain project pursuits calendars for submittal deadlines and meetings.
- Participate in meetings with client and partner firms relating to marketing, business development, and pursuits.
- Administer the development and updating of marketing materials including resumes, master project listing and project sheets.
- Maintain current licenses and obtain new licensing as required.
- Coordinate scheduling and attending conference exhibits.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the scope of heavy civil pursuits processes.
- Perform tasks independently while maintaining quality under strict time constraints.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Project assistant, cost estimating, proposal experience, business development or construction experience required.
- Previous management of department staff preferred.
- Working knowledge of government (state, federal, and OFCCP) contracting processes.
- Experience in heavy civil construction industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe InDesign.
- Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,705.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to Relocate:
- Flushing, NY 11355: Relocate before starting work (Required)
