About the Role
The Account Executive will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the acquisition and expansion of high-value clients. This individual is expected to bring a strong, pre-existing book of business and leverage their network to identify and close new opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic seller with deep industry expertise and a consultative approach to client management.
Position Details
- Schedule: Full-time, exempt
- Compensation: Base salary plus variable commission. Total compensation package ranging from $150k - $300k depending on experience and relevant business.
- This position is eligible to be based in the Western region of the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Growth
- Leverage your existing book of business to generate new revenue opportunities.
- Identify, pursue, and close strategic accounts with high growth potential.
- Conduct thorough client needs assessments and tailor solutions to meet business objectives.
Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term partnerships.
- Regularly engage with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute territory or vertical-specific sales plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, customer success) to support sales cycles and enhance customer experience.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM hygiene.
Market & Industry Insight
- Stay ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity.
- Provide feedback to leadership and product teams to inform strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience
- 7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food, natural products, dietary supplements, or beverage industries.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas and KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value deals.
- Experience managing enterprise-level clients and long sales cycles.
Book of Business:
- A relevant, transferrable book of business with active client relationships is required.
- Ability to generate immediate revenue from existing contacts.
Skills:
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly accountable.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
