Long established Eastern CT shoreline School bus transportation company has an excellent opening for an experienced accountant.
The responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing billing to customers for timeliness and accuracy
2. Reviewing QuickBooks file and balancing to supporting documents
3. Making certain payroll is accurate and records are maintained
4. Reviewing financing arrangements
5. Making adjusting entries to records when required
6. Comparing actual results to budget
7. Reviewing bills for approval, accuracy and payment
8. Making certain that regulatory filings are done when required
9. Monthly closing of books
10. Bank account reconciliations
11. Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable
12. Internal auditing - special projects
Accountant requirements and qualifications
1. Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting
2. Minimum 3 year’s experience as an accountant
3. Computer skills, Microsoft office
4. Familiarity with QuickBooks and financial statements
5. Excellent math skills
6. Good communication skills, written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
