We are excited to be adding to our team, a detail-oriented and adaptable Accounts Payable Specialist who has the desire to join a finance team in a growing private equity firm.
In this role you will work closely with our accounting team to support operational needs. You will also be responsible for managing the payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in processing payments.

Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process vendor invoices using accounting principles, making sure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Payment Execution: Prepare payments to vendors and business units including ACH transfers, checks, wire transfers and ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and/or suppliers, resolving issues, and handling all discrepancies.
- Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile accounts and statements to endure accurate records and timely issue resolution.
- Reporting: Prepare accounts payable reports and provide detailed updates.
- Monthly Accrual Support: Support in monthly accruals and intercompany charges.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist with special projects, audits, and other finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Highschool Diploma or equivalent; While a degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within a private equity or similar environment
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks & NetSuite).
- Organizational Skills & Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies proactively and efficiently.
