The Administrator directs the overall operations of the Psychiatric Care Center. Responsible for insuring with state, federal and other regulatory compliance. Insures quality patient care and treatment. Oversight of all hospital community education activities. Responsible for financial goals and budget requirements.
Qualifications:
Education – Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s and/or relevant years of administrative experience accepted.
Experience – Knowledge of adult and/or geriatric focused psychiatric treatment. Preferred minimum of three years direct clinical experience in adult and/or geriatric psychiatric treatment.
Certification – CPI certification required (or training within 6 weeks upon hire) Restraint and Seclusion training (within 6 weeks upon hire). Training will be provided upon hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres and respects all policies and procedures regarding anonymity and confidentiality of all patient records past and present. This covers any written or verbal communications regarding patient’s identify, address, and situation.
- Functions in a friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional manner with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, visitors, coworkers, and management.
- Promotes, adheres to, and monitors for a drug and violence free work place.
- Plans, develops, and coordinates the needs of Behavioral Healthcare Center with other disciplines, activities, and programs.
- Assists professional staff to resolve program and treatment difficulties as may be encountered.
- Conduct in-service and supervisory training meetings.
- Meet with personnel as required and scheduled to assist in identifying and correcting issues, and/or the improvement of services.
- Monitor the financial status of the organization and maintain an efficient accounting system.
- Prepare budgets and comply with budget requirements to maintain effective cost management of facility operation.
- Review physical facility and direct repairs/new construction programs within the financial structure of the facility and/or corporation.
- Authorize purchases of major equipment and supplies for the facility.
- Make routine rounds and authorize and conduct tours with facility staff, governmental representatives, and others.
- Monitor procedures to ensure compliance with the state and federal guidelines, laws, regulations, and facility policies.
- Ensure legal compliance in all areas of operation.
- Attend and participate in on-going training and educational classes.
- Maintain professional alliances with other health care industry leaders in the community and coordinate services through working and transfer agreements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
