J O B SUMMARY :
Responsible for managing sensitive financial data, generating financial reports, accurately recording data from various sources, and meeting daily / weekly / monthly deadlines. Works closely with accounts payable and general ledger teams to provide timely and accurate reporting.
M AJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Audit Concur expense reports for accuracy and verify receipts are included, ensuring no duplicate charges are submitted, and that company policies are being followed.
Generate bank reports from various bank institutions for input into various spreadsheets and reconcile bank deposits with the daily banking reports accurately and timely.
Manage month-end deadlines including generating month-end reports.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare Sales and Use Tax Returns for various entities.
Responsible for updating and maintaining daily reporting to the management team.
Research bank deposits and payables to help identify discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports in Sage 100 and Concur SAP Systems.
Run quarterly reports for AP Manager.
Create new vendors within Sage 100 database and maintain new vendor tracking sheet.
Pay credit card bills.
Upload manual checks into bank positive pay portal.
Prepare payroll packets and FedEx the manual payroll checks to the appropriate entities.
Copying, scanning, filing, organizing of Accounting Department documents.
Other accounting duties and projects as assigned by VP of Accounting & Payroll, Director of Accounting and AP Manager.
S K ILLS AND ABILITIES :
Reliability in checking own work to ensure accuracy.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
Must be able to handle highly sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form, with all levels of employees, including management, is required
Ability to work independently and prioritize meeting deadlines as well as ability to work in a collaborative manner, a team player.
Must maintain a professional and personable demeanor.
E DUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, emphasis in accounting or finance.
Experience with MAS 90 or MAS 200 (Sage 100) or other accounting software.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook user is required.
At least three years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate office environment and healthcare related industry.
