Job Purpose :
Supports internal and external sales managers and brokers by scheduling activities; processing information.
Duties :
- Maintains sales department work flow by scheduling daily activities; planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
- Conserves sales staff and broker time by reading and routing correspondence and reports; inputting and / or formatting letters and documents;
collecting information; sending and receiving telecommunications; completing expense reports.
Resolves inventory allocation problems by checking on and monitoring promoted and nonpromoted items and finished goods to determine and adjust inventory levels;
anticipating needs; placing and expediting inventory replenishment and allocation; verifying receipt of inventory.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Completes projects by planning and organizing sales information and analyses.
- Publishes trade promotions by distributing trade promotion information to brokers, regional managers, vice president - sales, and other internal and external sources with a need to know.
- Preserves historical records by maintaining a working knowledge of information sources; verifying accuracy of statistics;
entering data; backing up system.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
