About the Role

The Company is seeking a Department Chair for its Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department. The successful candidate will be the chief academic and administrative leader, responsible for providing vision and leadership to advance the department as a leader in innovation and education. This includes guiding a robust scholarship and research agenda, promoting excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, and growing the overall student enrollment with a focus on diversity and inclusion. The Department Chair will also be expected to have an outstanding record in research, a strong history of funding, and a vision to propel the department to new heights in line with the evolving field of electrical and computer engineering.

Applicants for the Department Chair position at the company must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and be eligible for tenure in the department. The role requires a candidate with an exceptional record of teaching, educational leadership, and mentoring, as well as demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and unassailable personal and academic integrity are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with previous administrative experience and a proven track record of working with interdisciplinary teams. The Department Chair will be a key member of the College's leadership team and will be expected to contribute to the institution's commitment to excellence and diversity.
