About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its multi-state behavioral healthcare operations. The successful candidate will be a seasoned healthcare operator with a strong background in driving operational excellence, scaling platforms, and ensuring high-quality clinical care. Key responsibilities for the COO include overseeing operations across all facilities, owning and driving key performance metrics, building and optimizing processes for a scalable operational model, and managing systems for clinical documentation and healthcare compliance. The role also involves team development and management, including overseeing facility-level leadership, creating training programs, and driving accountability across all levels. The COO will be instrumental in the company's growth and strategic initiatives, supporting the integration of newly acquired facilities, and partnering with marketing and admissions to optimize patient flow. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' healthcare operations experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership, preferably in a multi-unit healthcare or hospitality setting. A background in private equity-sponsored companies and a proven track record of scaling operations across multiple facilities or states are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare compliance, licensing, and accreditation requirements, as well as experience in process improvement, operational optimization, and managing P&L. Excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, and a passion for the mission of providing compassionate care are also required. The role demands a sense of urgency and the ability to travel 40-50% of the time to ensure operational excellence and team development.
