What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance position at Confidential?
The Director of Finance oversees and supervises all financial operations of the organization, providing leadership in financial decision-making and policy and procedure development. This position is responsible for timely submission of all financial reports, budgets and analyses as well as facilitating the independent financial statement audits and non-profit tax returns required.
Essential functions include oversight of the Finance Department operations including payroll (ADP), vendor agreements, grants and contract revenues and compliance, the administration of Representative Payee client funds and HUD section 811 projects. The Director of Finance must ensure that all general ledger accounts and supporting financial records are complete and accurate.
Candidates should possess at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in business administration – Accounting, but an advanced degree is preferred. CPA credential is required. Sage accounting platform experience is essential. At least five years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a non-profit organization in health care. Experience with a non-profit organization is a requirement. The candidate must possess excellent communication, organization, technology, and management skills.
