What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Maintenance position at Confidential?
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Director for a skilled nursing facility located Southwest of Boston
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the facility’s day-to-day maintenance functions
- Responsible for Preventative Maintenance program and ensures compliance according to local, state and federal regulations
- Maintain records of all maintenance and service activities conducted on a daily basis
- Participates in Quality Improvement, OSHA Compliance, staff education and Department Head meetings
- Comply with all safety norms and regulations that are set by the industry
- Must be on-call should emergency situations arise
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of related healthcare maintenance experience, required
- Experience in long term healthcare setting, preferred
- Must be knowledgeable in life safety codes and safety regulations
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- Effective communication & leadership skills
- Create a comfortable environment for residents and employees
- Professional with the ability to maintain patient and company confidentiality
