Job Summary
The QA / QC Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities for commercial electrical projects. This role ensures that all work meets established standards, codes, and project specifications. The QA / QC Manager will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop and implement quality management strategies, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with regulations.
Duties
- Develop and implement QA / QC plans, policies, and procedures for commercial electrical projects.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform site audits and inspections to validate adherence to approved designs and specifications.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including documentation of results.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and certifications.
- Prepare and submit quality reports to stakeholders, highlighting performance and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for project audits.
- Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in project kickoff and progress meetings to address quality objectives and challenges.
- Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Conduct root cause analyses and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with national electrical codes, client specifications, and industry standards.
