We are seeking an Executive Housekeeper to be responsible for the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department necessary to maintain guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards at our property in the Youngtown, OH area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervises housekeeping, housemen and laundry staff: hiring, coaching & counseling, terminating, performance evaluations, training, and development.
· Continually motivates staff, provides guidance and support when needed.
· Enforces hotel and department policies and procedures.
· Ensures quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced.
· Reviews guest surveys/complaints and holds employees appropriately accountable. Documents all performance –related conversations accordingly.
· Create and/or maintains approved incentive plans to reward employees for superior performance.
· Schedules staff according to labor standards and forecasted business levels.
· Maintains budgeted productivity and labor cost goals.
· Prepares daily assignment sheets for all housekeeping and laundry associates.
· Monitors daily and maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel including guestrooms, public spaces and restrooms, storage rooms, etc.
· Compiles and reports accurate status of “the house” to the front desk department.
· Maintains procedures for the acceptance, security and return on guest lost and found items.
· Completes monthly formal inventories of linen.
· Establishes and maintains cost control systems for staffing, inventories (linen, terry, OS&E and cleaning supplies).
· Orders and receives supplies so as to maintain adequate inventory levels.
· Maintains departmental key control.
· Ensures all guestrooms and public spaces are deep-cleaned on a quarterly basis. Maintains accurate tracking of guestrooms and public spaces.
· Conducts monthly department meetings.
· Acts as Manager on Duty as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· At least 3 years’ experience of managing a similarly sized department consisting of 15-20 employees.
· Previous hotel experience required.
· Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
· Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
· Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
· Possesses a thorough knowledge of office procedures.
· Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
