Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Las Vegas and Henderson. This role is crucial in providing top-notch clinical care and supporting our mission to enhance patients' lives through quality infusion therapy. This is a full-time, 5 days a week. This role is expected to cover two centers in Las Vegas and Spring Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and administer IV infusion and injections for patients with chronic illnesses.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of biologics.
- Educate patients about the risks, side effects, and benefits of their medications.
- Collaborate with ordering providers to discuss patient care plans and ensure seamless communication.
- Liaise with referring providers to meet medication criteria and request necessary documentation.
- Review and verify medical records, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans.
- Evaluate pertinent labs, reports, and previous medication trials.
- Keep Medical Director and Nursing Director informed of all clinical updates and issues.
- Assist in managing registered nurses and other staff within the clinic.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or post-master level certificate in pediatrics.
- Current basic life support/AED & ACLS certification.
- Minimum two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, and/or ambulatory setting caring for children and adults.
- Must be comfortable handling emergency situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Other Skills:
- Proficient in computer skills and experienced with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Comfortable with starting IVs and managing infusion reactions appropriately.
Compensation:
- The hourly pay range for this role is expected to be between $60 - $70. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, expertise, geographic location, and skill set.
