Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The FNP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients' health needs while promoting health education and wellness. This role requires expertise in critical care, airway management, and health coaching, along with a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses in both hospital and outpatient settings, ensuring continuity of care.
- Perform necessary procedures such as ventilating patients and managing neonatal ventilators when required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care for patients with complex needs, including those with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Document patient encounters accurately using appropriate coding practices to ensure proper record-keeping and billing.
- Educate patients and their families about health management strategies, medications, and follow-up care.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is essential.
- Previous experience in critical care or hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with airway management techniques and neonatal care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities.
- Knowledge of health coaching principles and practices is an advantage.
