What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST (BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH A MUST) position at Confidential?
We are looking for the right candidate who is willing to pitch in and be a team player.
- Greets patients and set the tone for their visit.
- Address and resolve schedule conflicts quickly
- Primarily responsible to distribute incoming faxes.
- Responsible for all aspects of outside answering service for the practice.
- Responsible for retrieving messages from practice voicemail.
- Obtain MRI reports, x-ray results, and any other patient information at the request of the physicians.
- Obtain and/or verify patient’s demographic data by phone or in person and enters into automated system.
- Enter referrals into automated system (hand carried by patient).
- Contact precertified patients to schedule appointment.
- Scan front and back of patient’s insurance cards and verify “new patient” paperwork is completed properly.
- Ensure that patient has proper insurance referrals and/or precertification to cover visit.
- Schedule patients for future appointments, procedures, referrals and testing.
- Provide information and feedback to Nurses and other Staff on patient needs.
- Collect patient co-payments, deductibles and payments in full and issue receipts.
- Review encounter forms for accurate coding, secures physician approval of any changes, follows through on necessary changes and posts encounters into automated system to drive billing process for insurance companies.
- Balance individual collections and submit report to Billing Specialist on a daily basis.
- Fill schedule vacancies due to cancellations and physician changes.
- Answer phones and provide routine information to callers.
- Document calls for physicians.
- Provides coverage for and assists other staff members when necessary.
- Cooperates fully with other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
