Leading NYC based jewelry brand is seeking a meticulous and skilled GIA Gemologist and Diamond Operations Specialist.
Join our team as a GIA Gemologist, Diamond Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be an important member of our growing Loose Diamond Department, engaging in diamond sorting, grading, and matching of both loose and certified natural mined and lab-grown diamonds. Additional responsibilities include managing memos, entering and filling orders, and performing essential computer work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sort, grade, and match loose and certified diamonds, both natural mined and lab-grown, ensuring consistency and quality.
Manage memo transactions, accurately tracking diamonds sent and received on memo.
Systematically enter and fill orders, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and inventory is maintained efficiently.
Print and manage diamond work bags to ensure timely and efficient order processing.
Conduct thorough cataloging of diamonds, including identification, grading, and documentation in our database system.
Requirements:
GIA certification and a strong foundation in diamond grading.Graduate Gemologist G.G. preferred.
Experience in diamond sorting and grading, preferably within a B2B or wholesale environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in computer applications relevant to inventory management and customer relations.
Outstanding interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
A commitment to honesty, trust, and integrity in all professional interactions.
Desirable Traits:
Passion for diamonds and jewelry: A genuine interest in all things diamonds is a significant asset.

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year plus bonus
