Job Summary:
Seeking a Human Resources Generalist to assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the execution of responsibilities in the following functional areas including but not limited to: HRIS maintenance, unemployment, employee records, new hire processing.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Responsible for adding, changing and deleting employee information in Workday.
- Assist with new hire onboarding processes and paperwork.
- Proficiency in Workday, Excel, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications a must.
- Update and maintain Labor Law postings at all sites.
- Assisting with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR team.
- Maintain employee confidentiality.
- Enjoys working as and being part of a team of professionals
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures and a good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- At least one year of experience of working in a Human Resources setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask and superior attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Work with the leave administrator to track employee LOA, & guide employees through the LOA process from start to finish while keeping managers updated.
- Knowledge and understanding of FMLA, PFL, STD, LTD, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, as well as general LOA administration.
- Workday experience required.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed or required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The duties of this job require that the applicant can sit, bend, stand and file documents to be able to successfully carry out this role.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
