Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role is essential in ensuring that our IT infrastructure runs smoothly, allowing our staff to perform their duties effectively.
Duties
- Respond to user inquiries regarding computer hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement network administration tasks and security protocols.
- Provide help desk support for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically. Log and track requests within the helpdesk ticket portal.
- Report, troubleshoot and isolate power, cooling, server, storage and backup hardware issues.
- Develop and perform equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
- Execute computer and mobile device support and maintenance. Ensures company control policies followed on a local level, system security is maintained, and proper backup files are maintained to prevent loss.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in IT support with experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge of equipment related to desktop PC system, laptop PC system, server systems, network attached storage, mobile devices (smartphone/tablet), network router, switch, and wireless access points, VoIP telephony, internet firewalls, and network copiers with printer hardware
- Application abilities for Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft O365 (Teams, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Flow, Forms), Microsoft Windows 7/10, Microsoft Server 2012, VMware/Hyper-V Virtual server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, MDM (mobile device management), Android O/S, Apple iOS, Linus OS, and Microsoft PowerShell
