A Southeastern Wisconsin Landscape Company that is a full-service landscape contractor with projects ranging from maintenance, to custom design/build residential projects, and large commercial developments. Job Tasks
Project Planning
Develop detailed project schedules that meet client expectations, adjusting for project scope changes and delays, while ensuring project complies with regulatory requirements, including permitting. Identify areas of risk in the project and collaborate with the team to develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure the project can be completed within the time frame and budget.
Communications
Maintain high levels of communication with the client as well as team members to address concerns, ensure project needs are met, and manage expectations.
Budgeting
Develop and manage the budget throughout the project’s life cycle. Track expenses, oversee material procurement, award subcontracts, forecast costs, and provide necessary updates to project stakeholders. Identify opportunities for cost savings that do not compromise quality or design integrity.
Key Tasks:
Project Documentation
Maintain contract integrity, documenting any changes to scope or schedule delays. Build change orders, as needed, to account for these changes and manage the execution of change orders. Monitor and document project progress to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
Problem Solving
Identify problems as they relate to the project and collaborate with the team to find prompt solutions that avoid or minimize cost impacts or schedule delays.
Project Analysis
Identify indexes to assist in project analysis during preconstruction, monitor indexes and project costs during construction and post project execution. Gather feedback from team members and facilitate discussions to compare performance against the bid and identify areas for future improvement.
Training and Development
Stay informed of industry trends and changes to best practices, train and mentor junior team members, and maintain a focus on continuous team improvement.
Qualifications
- 3 Years Experience in Landscape Project Management or Similar Field. Extensive field experience considered
- In depth understanding of Landscape construction and best practices
- Strong Communication Skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid Driver’s License
