Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in apartment maintenance and facilities management, with expertise in HVAC. This role requires effective management skills to lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with schematics and safety regulations.
- Manage HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and comfort within the facility.
- Ensure grounds are clean.
- Complete work orders and other tasks as assigned by manager.
- Experience with turnovers, painting, drywall, plumbing, all basic routine apartment maintenance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on best practices for apartment maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including logic controllers, voltmeters, schematics, HVAC systems, and low voltage applications.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations.
- HVAC licensed preferred.
