Job Requirements:
- Prefer at least 5-10 years of experience in the medical field.
- Must have experience managing a medical practice.
- Prefer someone with education beyond high school diploma (college degree or some type of professional education in Medical Management).
- Knowledgeable in Human Resources practices
- Knowledgeable in Medical Billing and/or Coding
- Familiarity in dealing with insurance companies and following up on claims
- Proficient in operating a computer in a medical office environment
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, patients, physicians, and the general public
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be willing to submit to a background check if selected for employment.

Job Duties:
- Ability to effectively hire, terminate, and train staff in a medical office.
- Oversee day to day operations by supervising receptionists, clinical staff, and medical billers and coders.
- Oversee billing and coding practices.
- Assist with insurance follow-up and filing daily charges.
- When necessary, assist in answering the phone and scheduling appointments.
- Supervise patient and physician scheduling
- Maintain physician credentialing with various insurance providers and hospitals
- Assist practice in safely and accurately maintaining medical records.
- Be in charge of ordering medical and office supplies.
- Assist insurance and billing manager in submitting claims to insurance.
- Process practice's response to rejected claims.
- Answer questions from patients, general public, staff, and other medical offices.
- Delegate responsibilities and take corrective action when responsibilities are not carried out.
- Regularly assess employee performance.
- Perform data entry and processing.
- Work in conjunction with other management and physicians to develop and implement office policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and ethics
- Provide educational material for patients.
- Perform other duties as required.
The Office Manager is expected to manage and oversee the staff on a day to day basis and work to ensure the continued success of the practice.
