We are seeking a long-term candidate to complete our medical office as the front desk medical receptionist. You must be a quick learner or know how to do medical billing.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, basic computer skills, copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, and medical billing. The job requires the ability to be self-motivated and self-driven and the ability to prioritize the day. Require absolute adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Empathy, compassion, honesty, and professional communication skills are a must. The ability to adapt to different situations is imperative.
- Promptly completes new patient intakes to include clinical documentation for informed consent, clinical release of information, and client intake documentation revisions.
- Collecting patient payment. Prepare client receipts, apply payments and write-offs as required by contractual agreements, Collect fees and explanations of insurance benefits and agency policies as necessary, and maintain proper records.
- Assist with billing and insurance claims, call insurance to verify eligibility determination, payments and adjustment, claims processing, and other communication regarding the billing process as necessary. Complete provider enrollment and monitor renewal time frames effectively to maintain in-network status for all providers.
- Answer and field business calls promptly, complete new client intakes and scheduling, field community resource communication, legal communication, and schedule appointments that are accurately reflected on clinicians' schedules.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, proactively manages business operations to support customer-friendly patient service to provide safe, supportive environment
- Analyzes revenue-related information to identify trends and takes action to maintain or improve revenue performance, reduce no-shows, improve customer service scores, etc.
- Prepare and submit data, reports, deposits, and vouchers as directed and according to schedules and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain front-office clinical records
- Attention to detail and significant organization are a must.
- Assure compliance with all federal, state, and agency policies and procedures.
- Assist in inventory, office supplies, and equipment as needed; pay attention to office needs related to proper maintenance and execute tasks.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA laws
- Demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines.

Requirements:
