Summary
We are seeking an Optometric Assistant/Optician to join our dynamic team at our beautiful, well established, newly remodeled private optometric practice. The location is exceptional in supporting the highest level of optometric services while enhancing the patient experience in our boutique setting.
Generous compensation depending on experience.
Must have at least 3 years job experience with one company to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake and ensure accurate documentation of medical histories.
- Support the optometrist with pretesting before eye examinations
- Manage inventory of optical products and assist with merchandising, ordering contact lenses
- Educate patients on eyewear options, lens types, and proper care.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment to enhance patient experience.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of optical products and services is highly desirable. Previous high end retail sales would be helpful
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a medical or retail setting is beneficial but not required.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
