Position Overview:
The Parts Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the parts department for powersports and marine vessles ensuring efficient operations in inventory control, parts sales, and customer satisfaction across multiple segments. This role involves close coordination with the service and sales departments, including those in the marine dealership, to support a seamless customer experience. The manager will also be tasked with optimizing inventory management across all areas to meet the unique demands of each market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the parts department for both powersports and marine vehicles.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
- Work closely with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and pricing to maximize profitability.
- Assist internal customers with parts inquiries, providing expert advice and product knowledge.
- Train and supervise parts department staff, ensuring high levels of performance and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, billing, and documentation of all transactions.
- Stay updated on the latest parts and accessories trends in the powersports and marine industries.
- Monitor parts department performance metrics, including sales goals, inventory turnover, and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager, preferably within the powersports or marine industry.
- Strong understanding of parts inventory management and sales strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and inventory software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of powersports and marine equipment, including boats, jet skis, ATVs, and motorcycles, is highly desirable.
