Position Overview:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, from timekeeping to distribution, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Your meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and facilitating a seamless payroll experience for our employees and creating accurate manifests for invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Specialist
Process semi-monthly payroll following all company policies and procedures. Review all reports for accuracy before submitting to Human Resources Manager for final approval. Verify and reconcile timekeeping records to ensure accuracy.
Setup, update and maintain deductions, direct deposits, wage changes, garnishments and liens, reimbursements, and other payroll changes or updates as needed including retirement processing.
Process all semi-monthly, yearly, and quarterly payroll taxes including payments and posting.
Prepare W-2’s and other year-end filing requirements.
Collaborate with HR Manager to resolve payroll-related issues.
Stay updated on relevant tax laws and compliance regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Generate payroll reports and assist in audits as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service to employees with payroll inquiries.
Maintain Confidentiality of all aspects of this position.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax codes, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
