We are seeking a Payroll Specialist/Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional care and support to our patients and residents.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all associates accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger for payroll-related accounts.
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate employee records and benefits administration.
- Utilize accounting software to manage payroll functions effectively.
- Prepare reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits as required.
- Assist with audits related to payroll processes and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or payroll management, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with accounting software and payroll systems is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data processing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources and other departments.
- Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations is a plus.
- Experience in accounts payable is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
