Seeking an experienced Practice Manager to manage, supervise, and coordinate the operations of a demanding Outpatient Clinic. Must be prepared to meet the challenge of providing the best quality of patient care.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinates Clinic activities and the work assignments of staff members.
Orients new physicians, along with obtaining necessary items and/or paperwork.
Evaluates activities of the Clinic to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service are met.
Directs the nursing assessment of all patients.
Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure the nursing care is carried out as directed in accordance with physician instructions.
Interprets and enforces department and company policies.
Participates in the development and monitoring of unit budget.
Inspects exam rooms for cleanliness and comfort.
Orders and maintains all medical and office supplies.
Tracks and reports CMEs on physicians to Credentialing.
Maintains HIPAA compliance.
Prepares and edits as needed, monthly Physician Call Schedule.
Investigates and resolves complaints or refers unusual problems to superior.
Maintains physicians’ schedule to include the following: vacation, call schedules/coverage, meetings, personal appointments, etc.
Is a Super User for EPIC.
Performs all duties of a Medical Assistant and Front Office Personnel, when needed.
Completes FMLA paperwork for patients.
Monitors compliance for Meaningful Use.
Prepares physicians’ expenses and reimbursements, and forwards to Accounts Payable.
Prepares and edits the physicians’ daily Clinic and Dialysis Schedule
Duties:
Selects, schedules, assigns, and evaluates staff, adjusting hours and shifts as necessary.
Orients new staff and assures the training and education needs of staff are met.
Manages and motivates staff (including hiring, firing, performance management, and recognition duties).
Train, direct and appraise staff.
Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization.
Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments.
Issues written and oral instructions; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Current CPR certification
Current driver’s license and good driving record.
Must have a clinical background.
Must have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must have experience as a Medical Assistant and as a Practice Manager.
Must have experience with Acumen EHR.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college and technical school; 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
