Open Door Health Services is a not for profit, Federally Qualified Health Center. We provide comprehensive primary, urgent, and preventive healthcare services, as well as select specialty services and social support programs. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, and staff offer friendly, expert care for individuals and families throughout East Central Indiana-with or without insurance. Ability to pay is not a barrier to care. Services are offered at multiple locations in Muncie and Anderson.
We are hiring a Practice Manager for our Primary Care department at our 333 S. Madison Street Muncie, IN location. This position will lead and coordinate daily operations in a variety of patient care activities to ensure all operations within the clinic are functioning appropriately. The individual will assist in the delivery of health care and patient care management in accordance with scope and licensure and will take an active lead in facilitating identified performance improvement activities within the department. - Works to ensure the reporting area(s) is operating effectively and efficiently in alignment with the mission, vision and value statements.

- Develops and monitors reports and analytics relative to effective departmental decision making, quality control, and performance improvement.

- Responsible for hiring, evaluating, and disciplining reporting staff.
- Responsible for oversight of departmental orientation, training, and follow up with staff to ensure staff understand desired results associated with duties and resources available to achieve results.
- Responsible for acting as the first line of escalation to actively mitigate, escalate, and resolve customer service and staff complaints.
- Provides leadership for the development and enforcement of policies/procedures.

Typical Working Environment: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances.
Education:
Required: High School diploma and certification or degree in a health-related field of study.
Preferred but not required: Indiana State Nurse License.
Experience:
Required: 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred: 5 years of work experience in the health care arena in a clinic or office setting. Experience using recognized quality improvement techniques such as LEAN, PDSA cycle also preferred.
Certificate/License: CPR & First Aid certification, TB certification is a plus at hire, required to be maintained through ODHS post hire.
