Overview:
A Production Supervisor will oversee departmental leads and the quality of work performed by their departments. BOAT BUILDING EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS!
Responsibilities:
- Trains, and manages production employees on assigned shift/line
- Organizes, and oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift/line
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ensures timecards and payroll information is entered in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensures that employees comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensures department has appropriate staff to meet objectives and production schedules/deadlines
- Inform production planning and relevant management of any issues or obstacles causing delays
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience as Production Supervisor in Boat building/shipbuilding industry.
- Experience in rigging and capping or assembly is required. Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Have a good understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment and requires exposure to chemicals, tools and hazards associated with applicable area/line. The production area is not air conditioned and requires working during hot weather. Requires ability to work in high temperatures during summer months along with increased humidity as well as cold temperatures in the winter months.
