Job Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Moncks Corner, SC
Type: Fulltime/Direct Hire
Job Summary
A Production Supervisor will oversee departmental leads and the quality of work performed by their departments. BOAT BUILDING EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trains, and manages production employees on assigned shift/line
- Organizes, and oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift/line
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ensures timecards and payroll information is entered in a timely and accurate manner
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance and cooperation with HR and company policy
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees production operations on assigned shift
- Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment
- Troubleshoots issues that arise
- Notifies maintenance department and relevant management of equipment problems
- Ensures that employees comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensures department has appropriate staff to meet objectives and production schedules/deadlines
- Inform production planning and relevant management of any issues or obstacles causing delays
- Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality defects
- Ensures any/all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Have a good understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when and where appropriate
- Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices as well as Sea Fox mission/vision
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and with multiple departments
- Experience in rigging and capping or assembly is required. Minimum 3 years’ experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.69 - $34.66 per hour
