Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Registered Nurse (QA RN) for an office position in Hospice. The Quality Assurance Nurse must be a registered nurse (RN). The registered nurse must hold an RN license in the state of Michigan.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluates the effectiveness of agency services for improving health care to the populations served.
2. Implements, integrates and maintains Quality Improvement (QI) Program.
3. Monitors quality and appropriateness of services and products.
4. Evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of care.
5. Monitors for compliance with regulatory requirements, standards of practice, accreditation standards and policies and procedures.
6. Provides leadership in developing and implementing satisfaction surveys for patients, physicians, referral sources and other appropriate groups.
7. Performs routine patient care record audits.
8. Chairs quarterly clinical record review and other appropriate committees.
9. Provides leadership in implementing annual agency evaluation.
10. Participates in professional advisory and other appropriate committees.
11. Attends and participates in staff, education, and agency committee meetings as appropriate;
12. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
13. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations and standards in performance of job functions.
14. Performs other related functions as required.
Knowledge & Skills
1. Thorough knowledge and skill in current nursing practice.
2. Knowledge of the concept of team nursing.
3. Knowledge in developing plans for patient care and the ability to participate in them.
4. Ability to accept and utilize supervision.
5. Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive working relationships in dealing with them.
7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
8. Experience with EMR Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Preferred.
Job Requirements
1. Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
2. Valid, current State driver's license.
3. The registered nurse must have at least 2 years of QA Experience.
4. Experience or background in one of the following is also required, but it can be in any setting: Quality Improvement (QI), or Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse, or Utilization Review (UR), or Quality Review (QR). A Supervisor of Clinical Services (SCS) or Clinical Manager who has performed Quality Assurance measures and feels competent with them would also qualify for this position.
