What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Confidential?
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
· Perform Quality inspections on production lines.
· Perform analytical testing of raw materials and finished products.
· Perform quality audits including Specification verification, date code verification, label verification, quality testing including leaker tests, and pulling retained samples where required.
· Ensure cleanliness and accuracy of documentation.
· Ability to make decisions and coach non-conformances in production areas regarding quality audits and documentation.
· Monitor first run production for adherence to specifications.
· Assist with programs for food safety, regulatory and quality programs.
· Review and perform checks to ensure adherence to the HACCP program.
· Review work orders, as needed for product quality requirements and specification changes.
· Review all quality records for completeness and accuracy and communicate issue to operators and shift supervisor for follow-up and corrective action.
Education / Experience Required:
· 2-year Technical Diploma, or 1 or more years of technical experience.
· Math skills – Calculation of percent changes and average.
Skills / Abilities:
· Ability to analyze process data and provide direction.
· Good mechanical / technical skills and ability to read and interpret drawings.
· Excellent critical thinking skills.
· Ability to work 12-hour shifts
· Ability to walk/stand continuously during your shift
· Ability to lift 20 lbs repeatedly
