About the Company
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety & Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, and fostering an environment that prioritizes the well-being of all employees.
About the Role
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, quality management, and quality assurance processes. Collaborate with various departments to integrate safety measures into daily operations. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety programs, making recommendations for improvements as necessary. Assist in the fabrication of safety equipment or materials as needed to enhance workplace safety. Ensure adherence to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO 9001 standards within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in quality management, QA/QC processes, or a related field is preferred.
- SQF or AIB and with FMP food safety standards required.
- Familiarity ERP software for quality management systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, quality control, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience working in environments that require strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and educate staff on safety practices effectively.
- 3 years experience in an EHS/Quality position in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in working with sanitation chemicals.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and cleaning verification.
- Logistics and supply chain expertise preferred.
Pay range and compensation package
Pay: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
