SUMMARY :
This role will drive occupational safety, food safety, and quality results in the assigned Service Center through successful training, implementation, and monitoring of IFCO's Safety and Quality Management System. Responsible for performing and initiating all activities in support of environmental health and safety and quality initiatives, New Employee Orientation, and Quality Management System training; ensuring effective and efficient compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and agencies, managing facility safety, food safety, and quality processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drive safety, food safety, and quality results in assigned Service Center. Monitor key processes and data that drive safety, food safety and quality, process consistency, review food safety and quality metrics & key performance indicators, identify gaps and concerns, and work with the management team to improve results.
- Train, educate, coach, and mentor IFCO Service Center personnel on key food safety, quality, and sanitation processes.
- Evaluate root-cause remediation and coordinate appropriate corrective actions and communications for food safety and quality nonconformances.
- Continually improve, evaluate, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental policies, and procedures to protect employees and comply with company, state, federal, and local regulations.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and conduct safety, orientation, and quality training. Identify, further develop, and deliver training programs in a manner that raises employee awareness and enables employees and supervisors to work safely.
- Maintain relevant EHSQ logs and documentation.
- Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.) including company EHS policies and procedures.
- Oversee hazardous waste storage area, waste reduction monitoring, and ensure regulatory agency compliance, labeling, containments, proper disposal, and documentation.
- Require all new materials and supply orders to include Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to evaluate new raw materials for facility use considering safety and regulatory factors.
- Communicate safety and health issues to the workers in a manner to helps them understand why they are important and why addressing them is for their benefit.
- Assist in emergency response and provide first aid guidance.
- Manage facility workplace incident investigations to include responding to and reporting all incidents, incident investigations, determining root causes, establishing recurrence prevention plans, and follow through. Recognize and reward input from employees that improve safety and health in the workplace.
- Improve Quality dashboard tracking by site and partner with the Global Safety & Quality team and Operations Plant leadership to drive improvements where necessary.
- Lead the development, implementation, documentation, and execution of the wash machine cleaning and sanitization procedures including standard work instructions, scheduling guidance, nozzle cleaning and monitoring, and compliance monitoring and tracking to set standards.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and guide on related disciplines.
- Seek, share, and assist in institutionalizing best practices across service center locations for Food Safety and Quality related processes.
- Provide regular refresher training on all strategies implemented and ensure compliance by all sites to set annual site training requirements.
- Monitor all washer HP systems to ensure they are consistently operational. Monitor and track preventative maintenance requirements are met and work with sites as needed to close any gaps.
- Regularly track label removal compliance and partner with the Quality team to drive overall performance improvement.
- Work with all sites to complete and approve all CARs prior to customer communication ensuring actions are validated, and impactful, and monitor for compliance and improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

Industry : Logistics and / or Supply Chain expertise preferred. Background in highly customer-centric matrix organizations preferred.
Personal : Strong leadership skills & capabilities; Team player; demonstrable ability to influence policy & strategy across regional teams; worked successfully in matrix structures; change facilitator; effective communicator; ability to develop strategic plans and drive detailed execution
